I love scones! Heaven with clotted cream & jam mmmmmmmm.
Thought I’d make a slight adjustment and have a go at adding a cinnamon touch, the results were fab!

It never fails, they also freeze well so are a good standby too.
I added 2 teaspoons of cinnamon to the usual mix and used soft light brown sugar instead of caster sugar.
When they were cut to size I then brushed the top with buttermilk and sprinkled on demerara sugar and a dusting of cinnamon then baked as usual.
Absolutely lovely spread with butter & strawberry jam, accompanied by a cup of tea of course!
My Dad ate them with cheese and said they were great.
I’m soo craving a good cheesy scone at the moment but they always turn out like rocks, maybe another go on weekend

We are cinnamon nuts (if that makes sense) in our house too, so these went down very well!
